This innovative program was developed to combat the alarming rise in school dropout rates among African-American students.

Chapters: A Book Club for Young Achievers encourages students to fully embrace all that is beneficial in being a book club member: informative discussions, thoughtprovoking reflections on books, writing and arts-integrated activities. The Ohio Governor's Office for Closing the Achievement Gap recognized this initiative for its potential to enhance literacy activities.
